After Surgery

Routine surgery is usually followed by a week of indoor rest, while bone surgery may require four to eight weeks of involuntary restriction.

Confinement may be boring for your cat but is essential for its recovery and allows you to keep an eye on its progress.

The surgical site should look clean with little swelling or redness. Your cat's appetite should return rapidly, as should its desire to investigate its territory.
