Bamba Niang of Merrillville Was Attacked by his Family's Dogs
Bamba Niang of Merrillville was attacked by his family's dogs and is recovering.
The 7-year-old Bamba was listed in fair condition on Monday at the University of Chiacgo hospital. His family's two Rottweiler dogs mauled him on Thusday while he was home alone.
Merrillville police could file criminal neglect charges against his parents. This came from Cdmr. Lance Huish.
Police obtained a court order for the Rottweiler dogs to be euthanized. The dogs are being held at the Merrillville Animal Hospital for now.
State law requires a 10-day waiting period to check whether the dogs have rabies.
