Being a Good Neighbor

It is a fact that on average about  20 per cent of people actively dislike cats, so do take your neighbors feelings into consideration.

Long before there are any problems, discuss with them the fact that offensive, foul-smelling urine is produced not by neutered pet cats but by unneutered, often feral torn cats.

Neutered cats almost invariably use their own toilet site (especially if you have provided one and encouraged them to use it) and cover their droppings.

Only confident, territory-owning cats - once more usually unneutered torn cats - leave their droppings visible and unburied as territory markers.

Hopefully, your neighbors enjoy seeing your cat sunning itself in the garden. But if they do not, respect their wishes.
