Bobcat Felis Lynx Rufus
A subspecies of the lynx family, the bobcat or red lynx inhabits vast areas of North America from Nova Scotia down into Mexico.
Its black-spotted, brown coat serves as camouflage in the rocky, bushy terrain where it hunts.
Slightly larger than the lynx, with a longer tail, the bobcat has large ears, but less dramatic ear tufts than its relative.
