Brush the Tail Through and Then Dampen the Hair
Brush the tail through and then dampen the hair. Take a small section of hair from either side and one from the middle, and start to braid.
With each cross over, take a small section of hair from either side adding it into the plait as you work down the tail.
Keep adding sections until you reach the end of the dock, then continue braiding down to the end of the section of hair that you have in your hand.
Secure the very end, then fold it up behind and attach to the braid at the end of the dock in a loop.
The trick with braiding tails is to keep the braid as tight as possible, and to keep the hair you are working with quite damp.
