Most cat lovers are temped at one time or another to by some picture or keepsake that reminds them of their feline friend, but for some ailurophiles collecting can become a major pastime.

Due to the international surge in the cat's popularity during the mid-19th century, artists, manufacturers, and later advertisers recognized potential in exploiting the cat.

This led to a variety of cat merchandise, ranging from postcards and stamps to toys and games, most of which is easily accessible and reasonably priced for the collector.
