Cats as Allergens

Cats may he allergic to several things, including us, hut increasingly we are allergic to cats.

It is estimated that as many as 15 per cent of people may he allergic to a specific protein found in cats' shin, and also in their saliva.

The suffering cat owner may find some relief if someone else grooms the cat daily, including a wipe with a damp sponge to remove the saliva that is inevitably left on a cat's fur when it grooms itself.
