Clever Horse
A horse actually has a relatively large brain in comparison to its size, but it is thought that the majority of the brain is taken up by coordinating movement.
It is difficult to define intelligence in the horse. With people, intelligence is measured on the individual’s natural ability to solve problems.
Studies have been carried out on horses, setting them variety of basic problem-solving tests, such as getting through a maze to find food.
In these the horse 'learns' the answer -with each trial of the same test, the horse responds more quickly.
