Constipation

Constipation still causes discomfort, so if your dog is affected, take it to see your vet.

Lack of muscle tone, reduced bowel activity, poor diet, not enough exercise -there are many reasons why older dogs are more likely to be constipated than when they were young.

Treatment
Most diets formulated for older dogs have more fiber as well as more vitamins and antioxidants that scavenge for free radicals.
