Feline courtship
Feline courtship is usually rather perfunctory, with a dominant tom invoking his rights over other males, and a receptive queen eventually accepting his advances.
The female controls the timing of: mating activity only permitting the male to mate when she is ready. Repeat matings occur over one or more days, and may involve several toms.
