Giving Eye Drops
Gently hold your cat's head with one hand and approach the eye from above, out of your cat's line of vision. When possible, apply drops at body temperature.
If using an ointment, roll the tube in your hands for a few minutes to warm the ointment and improve its flow eats, as encouragement can sometimes help.
If your cat refuses to eat, your vet will prescribe a liquid diet that you can feed it by syringe until it is well enough to eat on its own.
If the cat becomes dehydrated, your vet will have to feed it either intravenously or by stomach tube.
