Good Hygiene and Vigilance

Good hygiene and vigilance should prevent any child from coming in contact with dog faeces.

Puppies must be wormed regularly, every three weeks until they are six months old.

Their faeces must be collected, at home as well as on the street, and the puppy should be taught to defecate in a prescribed spot in the garden, not in a public place.

If an accident does nappen while you are out exercising your dog, scoop it up. Always go prepared.

Legislation now covers fouling by dogs in public places, and "poop scoop" laws are in force in many areas.
