Guinea Pigs are Vocal Animals
Guinea pigs are vocal animals, so they will whistle and purr enthusiastically to their owner. Some will even lick their human friends as a type of kiss.
Guinea pigs are not expensive. Their diet is simple, the food is not costly, and their housing can be bought or cheaply made. Since they require a minimum of space, they can be safely kept in apartments or small houses that do not readily lend themselves to other larger domestic animals. .
Since guinea pigs are clean by nature, their housing demands little maintenance to keep it clean and odor-free. Another advantage is that guinea pigs are hardy animals and should remain relatively free of disease (with the proper care)
throughout their lifetime.
And because guinea pigs do not breed as often as other rodents and their litters are smaller, you don't have to be concerned about being quickly overrun should you choose to breed your pet.
In addition, the wide range of colors and hair types common to guinea pigs offers both the amateur hobbyist and the professional breeder a rewarding challenge.
Guinea pigs make excellent pets! Everybody wants to pet these lovable little "critters."
