Moving an Uncooperative Cat
Even the most amiable of felines may lash out with tooth and claw when injured. Talk soothingly to the cat to reassure it, and approach it slowly and cautiously.
Drape a lightweight but thick towel or blanket over your cat, to restrain it and to prevent it from running off to hide. If possible, wear gloves to protect your hands from any bites or scratches.
Pick up the entire bundle, applying as little pressure as possible. Make sure its face is exposed so that it can breathe easily Apply gentle pressure to the towel around the scruff of the neck to prevent any attempts to escape.
