Temperament testing is not very accurate in young puppies.

When it is picked up, any puppy, regardless of breed or size, should feel "solid," with good muscle over the shoulders and no extreme bony prominences.

Excessive struggling or snappishness could indicate that the puppy has a dominant personality.
