Physical Examination Eyes

The eyes should be symmetrical and look straight ahead.

There should be no tear staining below them, and the eyelids should neither roll in (entropion) nor hang loose (ectropion).

There should be no extra eyelashes, no inflammation, and no discharge (conjunctivitis). The third eyelid may be visible but should not be inflamed or swollen.
