Physiotherapists in Veterinary Medicine
Many physiotherapists are involved in veterinary medicine, but there is no specific association.
Veterinary surgeons will usually know of a local physiotherapist with an interest in veterinary work, and will invariably be happy to refer a patient.
Fractured legs on the mend often respond well to physiotherapy, which stimulates muscles and tendons that have tended to waste or lose their strength during the period of bone healing.
Physiotherapy may be used in any circumstances where gentle manipulation is likely to improve mobility.
