Scratch Happy

All cats scratch, both to unsheathe their claws and visibly mark their territory. Unfortunately, an indoor cat is likely scratch furniture, carpets, or curtains.

This natural behavior can be prevented by training your cat from an early age to use a scratching post, and by trimming its nails regularly.

Use blunt, stick-on "artificial nails" on felines that persistently prefer to scratch your furniture rather than their own.
