Think of Breeding from Your Dog
1. Do not even think of breeding from your dog unless you know you can find homes for the resulting litter.
2. Do not expect the mother to carry out all the upbringing of her pups. It is your responsibility to ensure that all of the pups are well socialized before they leave your home.
3. Only breed from females that are emotionally as well as physically mature.
4. Have your vet check both the male and the female for the presence of any known inherited diseases.
5. Do not breed from your dog, whether male or female, simply because it is "natural." It is actually unnatural to let your dog breed once, then expect it never to breed again.
