Tiger Cat Felis Tigrinus
Also known as the little spotted cat, ocelot cat, and oncilla, the tiger cat is often mistaken for its close relative the margay.
Its habitat extends from Costa Rica to northern Argentina, but it is rare because it is hunted for its coat, which varies in color from cream to rich ochre.
Although a forest dweller, it does not live in trees as much as the margay. It preys on birds, mammals, lizards, and insects, but little is known of its social behavior.
