Urinary Problems

Some cats produce a sticky substance in their urine that is associated with lower urinary tract complications.

This substance "captures" urinary crystals, causing a partial or complete blockage to passing urine.

Recent studies at Ohio State University suggest that cats with this condition benefit from eating wet rather than dry foods, as this dilutes the cat's urine.

If changing from one food type to the other, do so over several weeks.
