Visiting the Vet

Early training to accept a cat carrier means that when it is necessary to use one for a trip to the vet, your cat will not resist being put in it. At the vet's, gently calm your cat and reassure it of your presence.

Give the vet a detailed description of the problem. Remember, your vet relies upon you for information on how your cat is behaving and responding to treatment. The vet may want to take blood samples or carry out diagnostic tests.

If this treatment requires hospitalization, arrange to leave your cat's bedding or any other item that your cat is familiar with, and tell your vet what your cat liked to eat.

Fellow the  vet’s routing concerning your possible visits white your cat is hospitalized. Generally speaking, cats should recuperate at home whenever possible.
